I hope that you've enjoyed your extra-long Thanksgiving weekend as much as I have. For those of you who did not get an extra long weekend, I hope that you were able to carve out some time to do something that you love. As a mom of two preschoolers and a teacher who deals with over a hundred students each day, I'm thankful that I was able to spend some quiet time crafting. I finished our family of Christmas mice who are now sitting on our couch awaiting a visit from Santa Claus. Given enough time, I would like to make stockings for all of us too, but I need to get a move on with all of the crafted gifts that I need to make between now and the 25th of December. I just ordered the Holland wool felt from A Child's Dream Come True to make the excellent play felt board designed by Melissa Crowe that was featured in the Fall 2010 issue of Living Crafts magazine. I'm excited and a little nervous to begin that endeavor--it was the most money I've ever spent on fabric at one time in my entire life. ...but I know that the enjoyment that The Milk Belly Princess will get from it will make it all worthwhile.
