I just finished Mr. Mousey in time for my nephew's birthday at three o'clock this afternoon.
As luck would have it, I did not have any thread to match the purple wool felt shirt, so I went ahead and used the same green thread that I used for the pants. Since I couldn't match the shirt exactly, I decided that a contrasting color was the way to go. Not bad, but contrasting thread does make me a little nervous because I feel like my stitches need to look extra nice since they will stand out.
The scarf was an afterthought, but I really like it. I wasn't completely happy with the way that I attached the head to the body. My stitches were not as even as I would have liked, so I thought that the scarf would look cute and cover them up. I think it makes Mr. Mouse more fashion-forward...and ready for the chilly weather that is now upon us in Ohio.
Happy weekend everyone!
Mr. Mousey is quite the handsome man
